At Images, hair dressing is a career, not just a job. We are passionate about the development of every employee at the salon and for this reason we offer a specialist and bespoke career training program.
Our training and recruitment scheme has been running successfully for 21 years.
From an early age 15-16 we employ motivated individuals who want to have a career in hairdressing.
Once the trainees have gained a minimum of 5 GCSE's A-C grade we give them in- house training and support through their NVQ level 1 and 2.
Once the trainee has gained an NVQ level 3, which is recognised as graduate stylist level, there are constant training days where they can practice their skills and make sure they are the best they can be.
From there the opportunities are endless. We encourage developing themselves into a specialist area, whether that is management, customer service, assessor training, teaching, Master Colour Awards, cutting courses and specialist long hair courses.
Each employee has a bespoke development program which gets updated with their manager yearly, so that goals and targets can be made so that everyone achieves what they want from their career.
With in-house training programs there are certain standards and requirements that have to be reached. With all programmes which involve people, it is very people driven and with all trainees, it is more about their motivation to gain the results as it is for the people training them to guide and advise. With the most motivated and career focused students they can easily gain NVQ level 1 and 2 within 12-18 months.
